Hello, my name is Mitchell Smith, I am a 35-year-old, husband and father of 3 beautiful children. I was born in Upstate NY but have lived in many different locations as to where I have finally landed in Northern Nevada. My wife and I were married in 2009 in Clarksville TN where my 12-year-old son Roman was born, my 3-year-old son Maximus was born in Ithaca New York, and my 2-year-old daughter Athena was born in Merced California. As mentioned, I have lived in many different places. I grew up wanting to be a firefighter and in 2006 i graduated from the New York State Fire Academy. But then when I graduated high school in 2007, I decided to have to opportunity and honor of a lifetime to serve my country in the US Army. During my deployment to Afghanistan, I sustained injuries that would later force to me medically retire. I was separated in 2012 and later in 2014 I was permanently retired and would never be able to serve my country again. So, at that point my wife, my oldest son, who was only a few weeks old at the time, packed up and moved to California where my wife is from, and I started my next adventure. I decided to go to Clovis Culinary Arts institute where I received my AA in the Science of Culinary Arts. After 12 years of rising throughout the ranks and becoming an Executive Chef at some very notable Restaurants, I had to step away from cooking due to my prior injuries from the military making my life more difficult and so i became a stay-at-home father which has been beautiful because i am now with my kid's full time. But now I want to go after my passion of Photography. Being a photographer gives me an opportunity to slow down and see the world and its beauty instead of passing right by. So, I ask you to take a moment to follow my journey with me as i experience this new chapter in my life as a Stay-at-home parent and an amateur photographer.
